Working from a studio overlooking a canal in Kyoto's Gion district, Nakamura Yuki draws on the Japanese craft tradition of reducing material to its essential form. Her jewelry is spare to the point of severity — but worn, it is transformative. She works exclusively in recycled precious metals and sources all her stones from certified ethical suppliers in Sri Lanka and Colombia.
