Sofia Delgado came to jewelry through ceramics, and the influence of her original discipline is visible in everything she makes — forms that appear to have been thrown on a wheel, surfaces with the texture of raw clay, edges that seem to have been cut by hand rather than machine. She studied ceramic arts in Valencia before relocating to a residency in Iceland, where the landscape fundamentally changed her approach to material and scale.
